Split Antlers

Aldi's had some split deer antlers on the shelf so I purchased 2. This pup loves them! He’s been a chompin’ on them all day! I’d say a great purchase!

New info: I vacuumed today and no reaction by Bryce at all! He’s NOT a vacuum chaser. In fact he just laid back and let me do all the work. He’s a boy! Haha... joke!

Bryce, who goes by the name Shep, is doing GREAT! He does love to swing a stuffed toy around his head and let if fly! 🤣! He gets carried away with his play. He is kinda... like mostly...well here anyway... housetrained!!! Yayyyyy!!! No accidents at our house. I just don’t wanna guarantee but he’s fine here. We do have a fenced yard so that makes it easy!

Sweater in December

Bryce was totally fine about putting on this sweater. If he isn’t a cutie what is?

Super friendly!

Bryce had a great night! He slept in a crate in our bedroom and he settled right in. In the morning I let him outside and he did his ‘jobs’ ate breakfast and has been playing and has even given me kisses… See photo! Bryce already is following me around (my buddy) and settling in here like a trooper! He has a lot of puppy energy and does lots of zoomies around tables, lol, and loves to play ...so he is not a couch potato! I will be taking him for a walk in a little bit…

We didn’t meet anyone so no report there but no worries with cars!

Welcome Bryce!!!

Bryce drove across town today in my SUV and was snuggled into the doggy car seat as we drove. A very good rider! When we got home he snooped around the back yard and made friends with my 2 dogs. Everyone loved each other and no growling happened! 💕.

So far in the house he is comfortably finding toys, checking out the crate, eating treats and napping at my feet. He is settling in. Give him a few days to acclimate and he will become one of the gang! He’s an easy keeper! Love him!!!💚❤️💚

Honestly she was a hit. People from across the room came to pet her. “She looks like Benji” was the familiar line! One lady even looked up Benji’s breed! Border terrier, poodle, Schnauzer. Maybe she’s this too? Hard to tell! Anyway all went well and she’s cleared for take off! To her new home that is! 🏡

In the winter having a bigger dog is the best! Why? They honestly do not have to go out as much! Susie has not had any... I mean Zero... accidents at my house. Now I do have a fenced yard and she does perfectly with a fenced yard. So my point is I love a potty trained pooch! Me in winter =brrrr! ❄️ House trained all the way! ❄️

Update about Suz...

I’m adding this update to her Petfinder write up:

Susie is now ready for her forever home! She is a very nice dog either as a single dog or as an addition to another dog. As a single dog in the home she will be more mellow in general and just have her daily zoomie session. At my house we throw toys and she retrieves them. It’s a fun game for her! In a home with other dogs around she will be the clown and gravitate towards the other dog and want to play with them. Susie is hilarious to watch while playing outside as she leaps around with paws going in all directions and toys flying. If she goes to a home with another dog my preference would be that the other dog would be larger and fun loving too! 
In the house Susie is very calm and loves dog beds and taking naps. I call her Snoozie instead of Susie! Lol
Susie is getting much better at leash walking and we go most days, weather permitting, and she cutely wears her sweater and harness. She does not react to people or cars we see and does not pull. She will get excited if we see a dog and want to run around to greet them and then she will pull because she’s excited.  She seems to kick into play mode around dogs. She is learning boundaries and is making progress on this though and it’s all fine. 
Susie likes her toys and she should have a variety to chew on. She is doing wonderfully with our routine and when I go to work she is now quiet in her crate. I give her a little treat and a dentastix when I leave and a couple toys. I believe she just sleeps while I’m gone because her blanket is not even messed up. 
Susie is adding “lay down” to her tricks (sit and up pretty) and is a smart girl! Her fur is medium length and she won’t need special grooming... just a nice brushing! Suz has curly-qs on top of her head. She is only a light shedder so that’s awesome, too! 
Susie is a sweet dog who will love her family and their friends who come over... she’s super friendly to people and not at all hyper! 
Susie is ready to go home and start her new life. We can’t wait to meet you!

One thing I wanted to mention is sometimes Susie will not move. You can call her all you want but she’s just decided she won’t or can’t  move... so if it’s not on your timetable you may need to go pick her up. Therefore, you will need to be able to “lift” a 40 pound dog. She never runs away, she just stands and decides she’s not budging. Lol! I think she will get better at moving once she gets a little bit more comfortable but for now this is how it is. I just wanted to let you know, otherwise she is 100% wonderful! 😍

After a good day Susie dreamed of finding her forever home before Christmas.

I love how Susie flings her legs around. It’s like they have a mind of their own. What a hoot!!!

She definitely isn’t into fetching this pink squeaker but the running... haha!!! 

The scoop on SUSIE...

This is what I can tell you about Susie so far:

1. She is fully potty trained!

2. She sleeps on the floor in our bedroom on a blanket. Very quietly. 

3. She is not a barker unless she sees a new dog. Then she gets excited and might bark. 

4. Susie eats her kibble and treats nicely and without aggression. No guarding. 

5. Susie loves all people and is so sweet. 

6. Although crates are not her number one love she does fine and is quiet when I come home from work. She’s starting to figure out our routine. 

7. No reaction to vacuums! :)

8. Susie is mellow and a good house dog.  She’s a couch potato... see pic! 🥔😁❤️

Sweetheart!

Susie is very loving! She is very mellow and likes all people 

She is totally housetrained. 

She does not jump onto furniture. 

Susie takes treats very gently. 

She doesn’t love her crate but tolerates it. We have her sleep on our bedroom floor at night and she does fabulous! 

Oops! Guess she does like furniture!!
