Another test!

On Monday Georgie gets his sutures out and will be tested for diabetes insipidus. It has nothing to do with blood sugars and everything to do with missing a certain hormone that would allow him to concentrate his urine. In the meantime, while we get ready, I am limiting his water each day a little more so that we build up his electrolytes. Today he got 3 1/2 cups. Tomorrow 2 3/4 cups. Etc.
Georgie is doing much better than he was a week ago and he is getting much more peppy and alert following his operation. It’s great to see the old Georgie back!!!

Back Home

Georgie is kinda blue this morning. He’s slowly and cautiously moving around. A row of staples in his belly. Not feeling very good or very peppy. We are waiting for results on his liver biopsy. One sad little boy today. He crawled into his cage, which is rare, to rest. Get better soon Georgie-Porgie. 💙

Georgie operation

Georgie made his way upstairs with me and is enjoying a little mom n me time! 💓
Tuesday he has an operation to remove a good sized bladder stone. They  also will be taking a few biopsies of his liver and hopefully we can get to the bottom of what is causing some of G’s problems. Taking the Denamarin did not work like we had hoped and an ultra sound found inflammation on his liver. Therefore the biopsies are planned. I will let you know how things go and I am praying that all goes well!!! In the mean time he’s being his old sweet self and hanging out nearby.
