Vet appt all done!

Rusty was so sweet at his appointment at Animal House Vet Clinic. Everyone was going gah gah over him! He is a little over 12 lbs. He does have some luxating patellas on back legs which is super common in this breed. Otherwise he’s good.
I did get an antibiotic for his smelly breath in case there is an infection after they pulled his 7 teeth at neuter. He takes the pill in a part of a pill pocket.
I’m going to miss this little cutie once he’s adopted. Lucky family!☘️

Pending

Pending means he’s on hold for a family who applied. Today I’ll take him to the vet for a check. It’s called a CVI. After that he is ready to go!!!
The family will meet him and decide if they want to take him home.
I’m excited for Rusty! 👍🏻

Smiley boy

Happy Saturday!!!
Maybe a walk later if it warms up!
Rusty is the best boy.
My son said,  “Rusty can stay as long as he wants.” In other words... he’s an easy keeper who we adore. 🥰

Saturday ❄️

Happy Saturday! ❄️
Rusty went for a walk today! See Foster Dog Love on Facebook for a video of the walk! Later he was outside in the back yard... pictured above.  He’s a good walker. He’s housetrained. No crate needed at my house. He sleeps and hangs out with my two dogs when I’m gone. Rusty is not really recommended for children... he’s not playful like that. He’s a dog more for adults in my opinion.    Overall he’s really good but does bark just like my terriers at sounds.  On the cuteness factor he’s rates at 10+! In our house, which is all adults, he’s the perfect fit and we absolutely adore this little soft and sassy boy!!!

Shot Gun Riding

Rusty went with me this morning when I dropped Seth, my son, off at work. I use a doggy car seat so he was safely harnessed in. He was a rather nervous rider. I do think if we practiced and took the same trip over a few times he would settle into the routine and enjoy it. Being that he’s super new here I thought he did fine and as he unwinds we will see a new Rusty emerge!! He has been through a whole lot of changes. I am impressed he’s doing as well as he is! 🐾

Home again!

HAPPY MONDAY!!!
Rusty is just the best. He gets very excited over food and barks. Haha! Meal time is a fav. He had 7 teeth pulled at his neuter so I’m soaking his kibble and adding a tiny bit of canned.
He follows me everywhere. He looks like a walking toy.
Toooo Adorable!!! 💙💓❤️

Nappies

Snowy day... nappy day!!!
Mr. Snoresalot. Ha!!!
What a sweetie. Fitting in very well. Adore him so much!!!

Sunday...

Rusty is a floooofy boy! 😁

Loves a cozy doggy bed!

No probs with crates. He slept in one last night. Not a peep!

Couch time! Getting spoiled!!!

He also gravitates to being under furniture. He’s under this couch right now, it has taller legs, and he sits under our chairs too. Probs a safe place to be. He’s a little guy so being under furniture fits his size!!!

Rusty Arrives!

Meet Rusty! Let me be captain obvious and say he’s gorgeous! Just the cutest little boy ever!!!
He just arrived so we won’t really know him for a couple weeks but first impressions are he is outgoing, dog friendly, attaches to the woman of the house (me!) , likes treats, knows sit, likes to bark a bit and is wary of my husband.
As he settles in we will know much more. He is soft! He’s partly shaved down. He’s wearing a belly band since I don’t know if he’s potty trained yet. So far he’s only done his potties outside though... yay! He did just get neutered so he’s healing up from that and he does have a little bit of kennel cough. It’s obvious he’s lived in a house before because he comes right in the door, knows the stairs and is not afraid of any household sounds... he was somebody’s dog and got lost or was dumped and he was found as a stray. Since nobody came to claim him he was claimed by Fluffy Rescue and now he’s with me and I’m his foster mom. ❤️ I’m really excited to get to know darling Rusty and am already in love with this little super cutie!!!

That’s one way to chew a dental stix treat! 😂
