No more sneezes!

Look at her... πŸ’‹

I just read Stars profile on petfinder and it made me realize that Star never sneezes anymore. Yay! She is now in very good health!
She also never worries about her collar/neck area anymore. When she first came here she yiped and ducked down when I touched near her collar… I don’t know what that was ...but she’s over it.
At this point Star is just a model little dog. And we just love her! πŸ’—
I have a habit of calling her Star-Star and don’t know why but that’s her name here. Haha!
I’m excited for some lucky ducky to love our Star-Star as much as we do.
Something about her... just so sweet!

Star is so special...

Star in her pink! πŸŽ€πŸ’“πŸŽ€
So I’m gonna be kinda picky on who Star goes to because she’s made TONS of progress here and she  is so special to me. Her life has seen too many changes.
Here are my wishes for Star ⭐️:
A nice couple without kids or with older kids.
No crate used. She doesn’t like. Doesn’t need.
A physically fenced yard suited for a small dog.
Maybe another small dog who is also kind and sweet.
A person who does not need or want a “therapy” dog.
Someone with patience and love to give to her.
Keep her name as Star. She knows it and has had it a long time. ⭐️⭐️
Not a difficult list. Is this YOU?!?πŸ’–

Great Saturday!

Star stands to look outside! Hilarious!!! 🀣

Both my fosters. Sally had the 9 pups but is getting spayed on Tuesday. She and Star get along fine now! Love both soooo much!!!

Sally or Josie (her adoptive name) is gorgeous!!!

Wins best ears!πŸ’—

Star’s tummy troubles are much better. She’s on some meds from the vet and will be fine. Star has come a long way from the day she came to my house. She’s just a wonderful little doggy. Such a lover once she trusts you. It takes a little time. Star sleeps with me now and I’m hoping at her forever home that’s where she will land. She’s a great bed pal. Does not move!
Hope you have a great day! We plan on it!!!🌞

Sleepy girl

One of Star’s favorites sleeping positions!
The back sleeper.
She is a relaxed girl ... love her front paws bent so cute.
Tonight we are going to try having her sleep in a crate just to see if she can. I’ll let you know if it works. If it doesn’t I’m not one to listen to her cry. She will be set free quickly.

UPDATE: Star was fine in her crate till 12:30 am when she had to go out to poop. Ever since then she’s had diarrhea problem and we have a girl who is a little sick. I did find out though from my husband she does not like the crate when he’s out in the yard. She whines.
All in all, I don’t think Star is a real fan of the crate. So, no crate for Star!  If you would like Star as your pup...you probably don’t need a crate for her. She would appreciate that! ☺️

Let’s try again!

Ready to go for a walk πŸ₯°

Running to me as I called her name!

Guess who came back as my foster? Miss Star!!!
Star was adopted but it didn’t turn out to be the correct placement.
Star should stay named Star in my opinion. She has always been Star. In fact her original mama may have spelled it Starr. It says Starr on her paperwork from Alabama. Anyway, Miss Star is a favorite of mine!! She is house trained, she is calm, she likes everybody and she doesn’t chew up my things. Those are all high scores in my book. The reason Star was returned was because I believe it was just not a good fit and the woman insisted on crating her which Star doesn’t like and she barks and cries.  Star was super stressed and let’s just say, as her foster mom, “I’m glad she’s back home with me”. We will try again when the right match is found. I love Star to pieces and think she’s a cute doll.
We are looking for somebody who also thinks she’s a doll and who has possibly owned a Chi or terrier before.  If you love the breed you will love Star!!!⭐️

Happy Saturday! πŸ‡

We were trying to play a board game sitting on the floor. I guess Josie felt she wanted in! We love to offer our laps but not every time she wants to... and believe me... she loves a lap! I guess this is something she will need to practice. #lapdistancing

Getting her way...

My son on phone... she sneaks in between his arms. Ha!

Trying to make soup.., she wants the carrots!

She doesn’t jump up... she “steps up” onto my lap. It’s so funny.

So basically she now acts like she owns the place! This morning she plopped onto my lap during my Wed morning women’s Bible study meeting so she was on Zoom. It is amazing how different she acts from day one!
I’ve been looking at her and wondering if she has some Portuguese Water Dog in her. That curly hair and the markings? Would love to hear if a DNA test ever gets done!

Much Better!!!

Morning update:
Josie slept all night in her crate without a sound! What a change! πŸ™ŒπŸ»  I think she is beginning to appreciate the quiet life here. Today: She ate breakfast quickly, did business outside, back in for her treat and she loves attention from people. πŸ’š
Here we are outside early morning in the picture above and all she wants is petting! πŸ₯° Basically she’s just an easy peasy dog to hang out with.
Josie is very polite and has never gotten into anything to this point. She does not seem to have interest in toys. Things could change but this is what I see so far.
So happy for the good nights sleep!

First night

GOOD MORNIN’ WORLD!

Sweet faceπŸŒ»πŸ’›
Well we had a long sleepless night. 😜
First I tried a crate. Whining.
Second the bedroom. Pacing.
Third I moved us both back to the main floor. I took the couch. She laid down by midnight.
At 4:30 she threw up. Just yellow slime. Cleaned it up.
Now up at 6:30. Have to go to work. Yawn.
Tried a walk and put her in a vest as she looks full of milk. Nope. She was not interested.
So she’s back inside resting.
She will do better tonight. First night is often RUFF! 🐢
I’m sure her doggy boobies are uncomfortable too.
Good news is she ate well. Pottied and pooped in the yard.
She is so sweet. Can’t help but ❤️ her.

Progression of asking for pets! πŸ’š

Birds chirping and her favorite guy nearby.
